At the present time there are no backgammon clubs in Connecticut.

I organized 300+ backgammon tournaments at 20+ locations across Connecticut during the 80’s & 90’s.  There has not been any backgammon clubs/tournaments since my best club at the Hall Of Fame in Southington.

I am in the process of regrouping the Connecticut Backgammon Society.  First we need to find a home: such as a restaurant/club with a convenient location near a major highway, to help draw players statewide.   This restaurant must have management who understands the needs of our group:  We are not in a financial position to afford to pay rent, so we must be allowed to occupy tables/booths in exchange for the extra business (food & drink) we bring in.   If you can help us find such an arrangement please contact me at 860 887-5052 or RobRoy@RobRoy8.com

We are also in constant need of new players to join our tournaments.  If you would like to participate in backgammon activities then:  Please register your email address with the Connecticut Backgammon Society”.   I will notify you of the details when I have put together a tournament, such as the upcoming 2009 Connecticut State Backgammon Championships.  I will keep your email address private and confidential.
